GOTW - Whackometer Week 6

Everyone seemed to think that it wasn't that exciting a week in the United States Chess League's Game of the Week. But it sure was diverse. Many games only had a single judge voting for them.

What about the whackometer? Even the judges are calling for its publication!

Here's week 6.
Name Week-6
Jeff -0.034
Greg 0.377
Arun 0.051
JimD 0.348
Mike 0.321
Remember that a number closer to 1.000 means that the judge agreed with the collective wisdom of the other judges, a number closer to -1.000 means that the judge disagreed with the collective wisdom of the other judges, and a number close to 0.000 means that the judge neither agreed nor disagreed with the collective wisdom of the other judges.

Jeff and Arun both pretty much disagreed with all the other judges on the top games. Greg, Jim, and Michael all relatively had the same level of agreement with each of the other judges.

So now, the average correlations of all the judges across the six weeks are...
Name Average
Jeff 0.271
Greg 0.265
Arun 0.322
JimD 0.409
Mike 0.272
...which, again, suggests that the all are pretty similar.

There is no whacko!

I notice that the more I disagree with the other judges the less I get bashed in the comment. What does this show us?
